Sometimes when people leave the faith they are hard on their parents and other people who are still in the faith and they feel their parents lied to them but in reality the false information that was taught was done so in good faith as the parents firmly believed what they were teaching was true.

I came up with the name for the podcast after watching the horror movie, Fortune Cookie Prophecies and thinking about the premise behind the movie, which led me to ponder the fact that a lot of religious leaders come up with nebulous sounding prophecies or predictions that are about as accurate as a message from a fortune cookie, and about as meaningful to real life; you know, just specific enough to sound like they apply to a situation, but vague enough to be difficult too disprove.
